Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Priva (the "App"), published by Meoa Inc. ("Meoa", "we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The service
Priva is a tool that detects and redacts faces, license plates, screens, and other regions in photos and videos using on-device processing. You can also add, move, resize, and remove redaction regions manually. The App is provided for lawful personal and professional use.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, Meoa grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, as permitted by the rules of the App store you obtained it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or distribute the App except as allowed by law.
3. Your content and responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the photos, videos, and other content you process with the App and for how you use the results. You represent that you have the rights and any necessary permissions to process and share that content.
- Do not use the App to break the law, harass others, or violate anyone's privacy or intellectual-property rights.
- Redaction is provided as an aid. You are responsible for verifying that a redacted image or video actually hides everything you intend to hide before sharing it.
4. No guarantee of detection accuracy
Automated detection is imperfect. The App may miss a face, plate, or screen, or it may flag something that is not sensitive. The App is not a guarantee of anonymity, compliance, or security, and must not be relied upon as the sole safeguard where mistakes carry legal, safety, or financial consequences. Always review exports manually.
5. Subscriptions, free tier, and billing
The App offers a free tier with a limited number of redactions per day and optional paid "Pro" features (such as pixelate and emoji styles and video export) available via subscription.
- Purchases and subscriptions are sold and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms. Subscription entitlements are managed through RevenueCat.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel renewals in your App store account settings.
- Prices, trial lengths, and feature tiers may change; any change applies prospectively. Refunds are handled by the App store under its policies.
6. Intellectual property
The App, its name, logo, design, and underlying software are owned by Meoa or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks or branding. Content you create with the App remains yours.
7. Third-party components
The App relies on third-party technologies, including operating-system machine-learning frameworks (such as Apple Vision and Google ML Kit), the FFmpeg multimedia framework for video export, and RevenueCat for subscriptions. Your use of those components through the App is subject to their respective licenses and terms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that detection will meet your requirements.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meoa will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from content that was shared without being fully redacted, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $25 if you paid nothing.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Meoa harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and delete it. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 6, 8, 9, and 10) will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the App changes. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Meoa's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
